Your specific flow parameters determine the correct valve to use.
| -
The valve determines which VA series to use.
| -
The flow parameters also provide the information needed to determine the actuator's operating parameters and, consequently, its programming.

If you are currently using a valve, or you know the valve that you
want to automate, please indicate the manufacturer's name and the complete part number of the valve:
2.
If one of the flow curves shown in the
VK8
Selection Guide
or the
VK21
Selection Guide
meets your parameters, please indicate which one:

Please specify the following flow parameters:
A.
Type of fluid or gas
B.
Specific gravity
C.

Max. inlet pressure

D.
Min. inlet pressure

E.

(if to
atmosphere, please indicate)
F.
Max.
temp. of fluid or gas

Please rate your
intended application in terms of duty cycle
(actuator 'on' time) :
Minimal
(less than 1 hour per day)
Moderate
(several hours per day)
| |
Severe (practically continuous)
5.
Will your application have the valve seating
(fully closed):
Never
Occasionally
Often
Constantly
6.
In terms of how fast the actuator turns the Valve (RPM):
The default speed is 10 rpm. For most
applications where the actuator is modulating to maintain a flow or pressure, this speed works well.
A.
Small
needle valves can have as many as 20 turns, some as few as three. If the application will require the valve
to fully close and fully open, and the time between these positions is important, please
specify (in seconds) the required length of time for the valve to transit from full open to closed:

you want to specify the R.P.M., please select from the following:
